Red House has emerged winner at the 3rd Inter- House Sports competition of ST. Stephen’s Schools, Awotan, Apete, Ibadan.
Blue house came second, Yellow house occupied the third position, while Greenhouse emerged fourth position.
Addressing the athletes, Chairman on the occasion, who is also Assistant Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council, Comrade Banji Koleosho, said sports and education have always been inseparable partners in the development of children.
Comrade Koleosho said sports also foster social skills and emotional intelligence among children.
In an interview, Principal of ST. Stephen’s Schools, Mr John Itsekure expressed gratitude to God for an injury-free competition.
In the inter-schools invitational relay, Community High Senior School, Awotan , Ibadan, emerged first position in the female category followed by Covenant Faith Schools , Awotan, Adaba, Ibadan and The Brills College, Awotan.
Also, in the male category, Community High Senior School Awotan, Ibadan came first, while The Brills College, Awotan, Ibadan,came second, followed by Covenant Faith Schools, Awotan, Adaba, Ibadan, clinching the third position.
Our correspondent reports that parents and old students of the school were in attendance during the inter-house sports competition.
