Members of Retired Army Navy Air Force Officers Association, RANAO, Oyo State Chapter, have presented a plaque of Meritorious Service Award to Past Chairman, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Ajayi, Rtd., in recognition of his outstanding service.
The Plaque was present at a get-together-party organised to honour Lieutenant Colonel Ajayi at the Pensioners House, Agbarigo, Onireke, Ibadan.
Presenting the Plaque, the Vice Chancellor, Leadcity University, Ibadan, Professor Kabir Adeyemo, said Lieutenant Colonel Ajayi is a mentor and a pillar of strength to many.
Professor Adeyemo who is also a RANAO member, said Lieutenant Colonel Ajayi’s contribution would continue to inspire and guide members and his legacy would remain a source of pride to all.
Responding, Lieutenant Colonel Ajayi who could not hide his joy appreciated members of RANAO for deeming it fit to honour him.
Lieutenant Colonel Ajayi also stated that the success of his tenure was due to the commitment and support of members and sought support for the new chairman. Present at the event were RANAO Chairman, Rear Admiral Babalola Egbedina and Secretary of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan.
