In bid to play his own part to lessen the hardship of nation’s economic situation on his subjects, especially at the grassroot, the Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom, Oba Saliu Azeez, held a special meeting with various groups.
The groups including market women, motorcyclists, spare part dealers, pepper sellers, Hausa vendors, Igbo vendors, and meat sellers to fashion out ways of making life more abundant for his subjects and residents in the Kingdom.
Oba Azeez, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Sodiq Yusuf, expressed dissatisfaction on the inflation rate pushing all means of livelihood beyond the reach of an ordinary citizen.
Admitting the issue of inflation as being a national plight which was borne out of the economic downturn, however stressed that people can make their communities a dwellable place by being patriotic and deriving joy out of the little profits they make on sales.
The attendees promised to alleviate the burden of the people.
