President of Federation of Oyo State Students Union, FOOSU, Senator Ibrahim Alarape, has lauded federal government’s efforts in ensuring quality education for Nigerian students.
Senator Alarape gave the commendation while reacting to the disbursement of student loans to various government schools across the country by Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs programme, “The Searchlight.”
According to Senator Alarape, the government’s scheme would boost the standard of education and also reduce the level of dropouts among students.
He urged students to take advantage of the student loan to better their lives and academic performance.
The Student Loan Scheme officially kicked off last month, following an approval of 32 billion naira for the programme by federal government.
