The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the incumbent governor and candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16th Governorship election as the winner of the election.
The return officer for the election, Profesor Olayemi Akinwunmi made the declaration at the state collation centre in akure today after collating result from the 18 local government areas of the state.
According to Professor Akinwunmi, Governor Lucky of APC scored 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of People Democratic Party, PDP who scored 117,845 votes.
