A retiree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Oyo State,
Alhaji Amusa Bello, has called on government to recruit agricultural
extension workers at farm settlements across the country.
Alhaji Bello made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Programme,
“Grey Hair” which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Alhaji Bello, extension workers would help farmers improve
their farming methods and boost revenue.
He said this would in turn boost agricultural produce for food security and
also create job opportunties.
Alhaji Bello also advocated zero or low interest loans for farmers to
enhance their productivity.
