The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Oyo State has scheduled 50 days rotational Continuous Voters Registration, CVR in the 351 registration areas of the state.
This followed the commission’s review of the challenges and feedback from its initial phase of the Continuous Voters Registration, CVR in the state.
The Resident Electoral Commission in the state, Professor Adeniran Tella who disclosed while speaking to newsmen in Ibadan, said the exercise will be carried out with its Voters Enrolment Device, IVED machine.
According to Professor Tella, the rotational CVR will reduce cost of transportation for registrants and to ensure that every eligible voter gets registered.
He said the programme will start on Monday, 9th of next month between 9 o’ clock in the morning to 3 o’clock in the afternoon excluding weekends and public holidays.
The first phase of the CVR ended on the 10th of last month, with over one million online registrations and one million physical registrations, totaling over two million eligible voters already registered in the state.
