A former governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, in Oyo State, Mr Akim Yusuf has called the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) to harmonise taxes in the country, to achieve the aim of the new tax reform laws.
Mr Yusuf made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM current affairs programme, “The Trending”.
According to him, Nigerians are still paying multiple taxes such as statutory levies from banks and other value added tax.
He reiterated that the new tax reform laws need proper supervision to achieve its purpose.
Mr Yusuf lauded the tax reform laws and called for calm among the masses, noting that the result of the reforms would yield positive results soon.
