A Retired Director of Engineering at Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, Engineer Solomon Akande, has condemned the mode at which the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC allocate radio frequencies.
Engineer Akande condemned the act in an interview with Pensioners’ FM Correspondent.
According to the Engineer, radio frequencies in Ibadan are too close to each other, saying this usually causes interference during transmission.
Engineer Akande also faulted the numbers of radio stations in Ibadan, and called for even distribution across the state noting that this would also solve frequency interference.
He also called on NBC to stop licencing radio stations in Ibadan for now.
