As part of effort toward broadening the horizon of young minds and raising the aspiration of students, the pupils of Abby’s Cradle Monstessori schools have embarked on an excursion to Pensioners FM, Onireke, Ibadan.
The pupils were not only exposed to various processes involved in the transmission of news and programmes but also facilities such as live and recording studio, audio console, microphones, and lots of other facilities.
Speaking on the rationale behind the excursion, the Head teacher of Abby’s Cradle Montessori Schools, Mrs Grace Abiola said teaching of pupils should not be limited to classroom alone, but also practical training.
Mrs Abiola urged parents and proprietors to undertake excursions regularly to expose the pupils to occupational realities to motivate them.
Mrs Abiola said the choice of Pensioners’ FM for the excursion followed its exceptional professionalism and facilities.
Some of the pupils expressed delight for the exposure given to them.
They however appealed to the management of the school to sustain the programme.
