Adebayo Calls on Govt. to Ensure Quality Education for Nigeria Students

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has restated his administration’s commitment to ensure that children in the state have access to quality basic education.

Represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Pastor Sulaiman Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde made this known at the book launch and 40th birthday celebration of a Governor’s Office Correspondent, Musliudeen Adebayo, held in Ibadan.

Governor Makinde highlighted key achievements in the education sector, noting that 105 primary and secondary schools have so far been rehabilitated across all local government areas in the state.

The Governor stressed that the state government will continue to prioritize investment in education infrastructure and initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes for students.

Delivering a lecture entitled “Redirecting Youthful Energy Towards Positive Self and National Development,” Head of the Mass Communication Department at Lead City University, Dr. Bayo Busari, emphasised the importance of education, mentorship, and youth inclusion in governance to transform the lives of vulnerable children.

In a remark, the celebrant, Mr. Musliudeen Adebayo, expressed gratitude to Allah for transforming his life journey from that of a conductor to a journalist, and for sparing his life.   

Mr. Adebayo also urged both the federal and state governments to ensure that children in schools have access to his books, which he believes can positively influence and inspire the younger generation.

A major highlight of the event was the review of the book by Professor Rahman Akinosho from the Department of Food Technology, University of Ibadan.

Present at the event include, Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Solomon Ayoade and National President of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers NASoW, Alhaji Mashood Mustapha.
