Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State to remain steadfast in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, assuring that the party is poised to replicate the “landslide victory” of 2023 in the next general elections.

Chief Adelabu made the plea, while addressing members of the Team Adebayo Adelabu in Diaspora led by the Global Co-ordinator, Hon. Lanre Owoyale and the Director of communications, Rasheed Alatishe, over the weekend.

Adelabu highlighted what he described as “remarkable achievements” of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda, insisting that the ruling party is still the most formidable political force in Oyo state and the country at large.

He disclosed that plans were underway to embark on a massive sensitisation and mobilisation campaign across all local governments in Oyo State to showcase the successes of the federal government, noting that the initiative would be powered by him alongside other notable APC leaders in the state.

According to him, the Ministry of Power under his leadership has recorded outstanding progress within a short period, particularly in strengthening the national grid, improving electricity distribution, and expanding access to underserved communities. He said more groundbreaking projects were already on course and Nigerians would begin to feel the impact in the coming months.

Adelabu charged APC members in the state not to be discouraged by temporary setbacks, stressing that the ruling party remained vibrant, cohesive, and strategically positioned ahead of 2027.

He said the landslide victory recorded in 2023 will be repeated as the leadership of the APC in Oyo with all stakeholders across board will soon embark on a mobilization your to take the Renewed Hope message across Oyo State and assured that tomorrow will definitely be better than yesterday with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in saddle as president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The Minister admonished party faithful to stand firm in the face of intimidation and harassment by the opposition, emphasising that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has the APC to contend with in future contests. He added that leaders of the party at both state and national levels were determined to correct the mistakes of the past and reposition the APC for greater electoral fortunes.

He described the APC as strong, vibrant and dependable and once again expressed his readiness to public declare his intentions officially to fly the flag of the party as soon as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases its timetable.

The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, who hinted at his 2027 political ambition, reassured supporters that he would continue to work tirelessly for the growth of the party and the progress of the nation.

Adelabu also lauded President Tinubu’s courage in implementing reforms, particularly in the energy and economic sectors, noting that although the policies required patience, they were already laying the foundation for long-term prosperity.

He urged APC members across Oyo State to intensify grassroots mobilisation and strengthen internal unity, maintaining that the ruling party remained the surest platform for sustainable development and good governance.
