A retired Internal Auditor, Oyo State Water Corporation, Secretariat Ibadan, Mr Kazeem Rafiu, has urged the state government to adopt solar power as an alternative for electricity in generating water supply for residents.
Mr Rafiu said this while featuring on Pensioners FM programme, “Grey Hair” which profile past lives of the elderly.
According to Mr Rafiu, epileptic power supply has been the major challenge of the Ministry of Water Corporation and noted that adopting solar power would enhance smooth operations.
Mr Rafiu, who is also the Chairman of Alabidun Zone 11 Landlords and Landladies Association, New Airport, Alakia, Ibadan, enjoined governments to adopt community policing for protection of lives and property.
Mr Rafiu added that community policing would reduce crime.
