It was a day of glitz, glamour and roll call as the 2023 Labour party, LP, Governorship Candidate in Oyo State, Honourable Taofeek Akinwale gave his daughter, Tawfiiqoh in marriage to Mr Abdulbasit Salaudeen.
The Waleemah-Nikaah which was held inside a popular event centre in Olodo Area of Ibadan is one of its kinds that will remain a reference for a long time in history.
The Couple, Political Associations of the Bride Father, family and friends were decked in various native attires to reflect the mood of the occasion with sumptuous meals, served with assorted drinks.
Speaking on Behalf of himself and his bride Mr Salaudeen said love and understanding would remained the cornerstone of their home.
Mr Salaudeen, who thanked almighty Allah for the success of the event, also appreciated their families and everyone that contributed to making the day a grand one.
In a reaction on behalf of the two families, the bride’s father, Mr Akinwale advised the couples to establish a mutual and enduring relationship to overcome whatever challenges that they may encounter..
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion include, the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Debo Ogundoyin, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola-Akinola, Chief Imam of Ahmadiya Muslim Jamat, Oke Ado Circuit, Alhaji Mudathir Alaka, An Islamic Scholar, Sheik Sulaiman Amubiaya and Chairman Our Home our Heritage Support Initiative, Elder Ademola Akinola.
