The President of the Cheshire High School Old Students Association, Mr. Babajide Abatan, has emphasised the critical roles alumni play in the growth and development of their former schools.
Mr. Abatan made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Weekly Current Affairs Programme “Trending”.
Mr. Abatan who is also the President of Old Students Association, IMG School, Mokola, noted that old students’ associations are uniquely positioned to support infrastructure development, provide mentorship to current students, and mobilize resources for academic improvement.
He stressed that alumni contributions, whether in form of financial assistance, educational materials, or professional guidance, can significantly enhance learning conditions and inspire students to aim higher.
According to him, strong alumni networks also help foster unity and preserve the legacy of their alma mater for future generations.
