Cheshire School Alumni Launches Educational Support Drive, Reward Outstanding Students

The Cheshire High School Old Students Association, in collaboration with the Grateful Heart Foundation, has awarded twelve top outstanding students of the school with the cash sum of twenty thousand naira each.

‎‎The event was part of activities marking the inauguration of the association, which took place at the school premises at Ijokodo, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

‎‎Speaking at the occasion, the President of the Association, Mr. Babajide Abatan said the Association will also distribute educational materials to newly admitted Junior Secondary School students.

‎‎Mr. Abatan, who is also the founder of the Grateful Heart Foundation, further pledged a cash award of 200,000 naira each to the two top-performing students of the school during the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB examination.

‎                      

Mr Abatan also noted that a new set of uniforms would be provided for indigent students and identification cards for all students.

‎‎The school principal, Mrs. Motunrayo Tijani, expressed gratitude to the association for its commitment to improve the welfare of students.

‎Mrs Tijani noted that the support would not only ease financial burdens but also motivate students to remain focused on their studies.

‎‎Some of the student beneficiaries thanked the association and promised to make good use of the support to pursue their education diligently.

‎‎                       

‎‎Highlight of the event was cultural display by students.
