Child’s Right Activists urge Social Institutions to Protect Females

Child’s Right Activists have urged all social institutions to guide and protect females against all forms of violence.

The activists made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM

correspondents in commemoration of this year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women with the theme, “Invest to Prevent Violence against Women & Girls”.

A Girl child activist, Mrs. Jadesola Ajibola called on parents and the government to provide a society that will erase vulnerability amongst females.

Mrs. Ajibola who is also the Chairperson for Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ Oyo State Chapter, noted that females should protect themselves and not expose themselves to violation.

On her part, a Human Rights Activist, Comrade Oluwakemi Ademola-Aremu urged societal institutions to empower females and also encourage them to speak up against violence.

Comrade Ademola-Aremu advised victims of violence to recognize the problem and create a plan to get out of the situation and added that females should be taught self-defence skills like judo.
