Ogun State government has charged industries in the state to fully comply with the state waste management reforms aimed at promoting better, cleaner, healthier and safer environment
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Ogun State Waste Management Authority OGWAMA, Mr Abayomi Hunye stated this when he led the management team of the Authority to inspect the waste management practices of some selected industries across the state.
Mr. Hunye noted that the inspection was aimed to evaluate the waste management practices of various industries, identify areas for improvement, and provide necessary corrections,as well as commend industries that are adhering to the expected standards.
He added that the State government was determined through its assigned certified refuse collectors to stop the bad habit of indiscriminate refuse dumping,calling on industries who are yet to comply with the reform to do so or be sanctioned.
