Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo says education plays a pivotal role in the developmental process of any nation.
Chief Obasanjo said this while inaugurating newly-constructed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH College of Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resources, at Iseyin, Oyo state.
Chief Obasanjo, while commending Governor Seyi Makinde for embarking on developmental projects across the state, noted that education open doors to new innovations which will be good for economic growth.
Earlier in his remark, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, charged the Ministries of Education, Agriculture, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and other relative agencies to collaborate with the institution to excel.
Governor Makinde added that at least 1533 students would be admitted into the college soon.
