A Quantity Surveyor and Building Engineer, Mr Moruf Hamed, has called on Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON to intensify efforts in ensuring only quality building materials are seen in Nigeria markets.
Mr Hamed made the call while featuring on Pensioners FM programme, “The Searchligh,” against the backdrop of building collapse across the country.
Mr Hamed urged the public to always go for building materials recognised and certified by appropriate authorities.
The Engineer also enjoined the public to desist from engaging quacks, adding that due processes like land registration, statutory organisation approval, engagement of qualified architects and structural engineers are must.
