A public affairs analyst, Engr. Kemi Babawale has attributed the incessant flooding in Lagos State and other parts of the country to constructions on waterways and indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
Engr. Babawale pointed this out while featuring on Pensioners FM Current Affairs Programme, “The Searchlight.”
According to Engr. Babawale, government, especially Lagos state government must understand that not all lands are suitable for construction and for transformation into a city.
He also kicked against indiscriminate dumping of waste, urging people to desist from such acts and called on the government to enforce law against such acts.
Engr. Babawale further encouraged the government to key into waste recycling for wealth creation.
