The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Agriculture and Allied Agencies, Hon. Olaniran Atidade has reiterated the commitment of the administration of the Governor to revamp the Agricultural sector in Osun State through various interventions and investment
Hon. Atidade made this disclosure during monitored radio programme in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
He also shared insights into what he called the robust agricultural plans of action being implemented by Governor Adeleke. Hon. Atidade elaborated on the various initiatives and programs aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity and food security in Osun State which include the procurement and distribution of farm inputs like seedlings, purchase of modern agriculture equipment and other support incentives to farmers.
Hon. Atidade who also reflected on Ademola Adeleke’s unwavering commitment to revitalizing the agricultural sector, emphasised that agriculture remains one of major cornerstones of the state’s economic development agenda.
“As the rainy season commenced, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has outlined several key initiatives designed to support farmers and optimize agricultural outputs.”
“One of which include the sales of seedlings to our farmers at subsidised rates and provision of fertilisers for farmers.” Hon. Atidade explained
Hon. Atidade however used the opportunity to give an update on the recent distribution of government palliatives, saying the distribution process was meticulously supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, with focus on transparency and inclusivity.
“The palliatives were distributed across all registered associations in the state.” He said.
Hon. Atidade who emphasized on the broader vision of Governor Adeleke’s administration to transform Osun State into an agricultural hub, called the people of the state to double their support for the governor and his administration to create a better state.
