JDPC Wants Oyo Govt. To Harness Potentials in ICT

A lecturer in the department of Computer Science, Lead City University, Ibadan, Dr Akintayo Ayoade says Oyo State government should double efforts in providing Information and Communications Technology, ICT in schools and in rural areas.

Dr Ayoade made this known while featuring on ‘Isejoba rere’ a Pensioners’ FM development agenda weekly programme of JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior.

According to Dr Ayoade, if ballot papers could get to people in rural areas during elections, basic amenities such as technology should also reach them.

Dr Ayoade also said if the Oyo state government would key into ICT programme, it would attract investors and equally boost Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of the State.

The ICT expert added that government should also attract people to ICT.

Isejoba Rere’ which is a development agenda programme by JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior, holds every Thursday on Pensioners FM from half past two to 3’ O’clock in the afternoon.
