Meanwhile, Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has assured the family of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, that the state government will stand by the family during this trying period.
Governor Makinde gave the assurance when he was formally informed of the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The governor, while received the delegation from the family, including the Aare Mayegun of Ibadanland, Chief Bayo Oyero; younger brother of the deceased Olubadan, Mr Osuolale Owolabi Olakulehin and son of the deceased, Aremo Olasumbo Owolabi at his office, also promised a befitting burial for the late monarch .
Speaking earlier, Chief Oyero, who spoke on behalf of the delegates said they were there to formally inform Governor Makinde of the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, who passed away this morning
Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin the first, who ascended the throne as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland a year ago, celebrated his 90th birthday on 5th of this month.
