Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has described as laudable, the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas, CNG buses in the state by the Nigeria Labour Congress
Governor Makinde made this known at the launch of the 10 Southwest CNG buses at Oyo NLC Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Represented by his deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Governor Makinde lauded the union’s initiative for bringing the buses to the state to enhance transportation.

Governor Makinde reiterated his commitment to workers welfare by providing free transportation to workers.
On his part, NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero commended Governor Makinde for the implementation of the new minimum wage and appealed to him to help with more provision of CNG buses.

Comrade Ajaero advised workers in the state to maintain industrial harmony, to reciprocate the efforts of Governor Makinde.
Earlier, Chairman, Oyo NLC, Comrade Kayode Martins appreciated the Central Working Committee, CWC of NLC for bringing the CNG buses to Oyo State, which described as the political headquarters of the southwest.
Dignitaries present were government functionaries and members of Central Working Committee of the NLC.
