The Polytechnic Ibadan, has been renamed Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic Ibadan in honour of the former Governor of old Oyo State.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, made the announcement at 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 for the 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫, held at 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢 𝐀𝐰𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦.
Governor Makinde, described the late mathematician as a technocrat and man with deep sense of culture.
Earlier in sermon, former Archbishop of Methodist Church, Ibadan, Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, charged Nigerians to play their respective roles in transforming the nation, and prayed God to raise more heroes for Nigeria.
Bishop Ladigbolu, commended Governor Makinde for honouring Dr. Olunloyo, during his life time and after.
Governor Makinde had earlier named airport road and leisure park, both at Alakia area of Ibadan after Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, who died on 6th April, few days to his 90th birthday.
