Veteran Nollywood actor, producer and director, Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo has been doing wonders in the movie industry for over four decades.

The actor was born on the 31st of October, 1959 in Ilaro, Ogun state.

His family has a history of twins. His father and grandfather are twins, likewise him.

The actor completed his primary education at Christ Church School in Ilaro. For secondary level, he attended Gaskiya College in Lagos, but was unable to finish due to finances.

Later on, Ogogo studied at a technical college and worked as an automobile mechanic at Water Corporation for about 13 years.

Ogogo began his acting career in 1981, shortly after starting work as a mechanic.

In 1994, he left his job at the Water Corporation to concentrate on acting.

He is well known for playing the role of a father or responsible man, and this has garnered so much respect for him.

Ogogo has featured in more than 100 movies including Atitebi, Agbelebu, Danfo Driver, Irawo Ayo, Iyawo Olele, Ọjọ ẹyẹ mi, Ekun-Ayo, Okan soso, and elewon.

He has bagged the “City People Movie Lifetime Achievement Award.” he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Kunle Afolayan’s Anikulapo at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

Ogogo is married to two wives and has many children.
