Member, representing Ibadan North West constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Dawood Olalere, has inaugurated twenty-seven units of solar powered street lights and empowered forty constituents.
Honourable Olalere, popularly known as D-Al-Ameen, while inaugurating the solar street lights at ward 7, Ekotedo, Ibadan, said the project and empowerment programme were part of the promises he made to the people during his electioneering drive.
According to Honourable Olalere, the light up project would serve as security strategy for the people of the area, while the 20,000 naira to 40,000 naira empowerment was part of his move to alleviate poverty among the people.
Honourable Olalere urged politicians to always prioritise welfare of the people that voted them into office.
On his part, Chairman Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alhaji Abulrahman Adepoju, commended Honourable Olalere for his light up project and the empowerment.
