Oyo NUT Says Inadequate Teachers Will be Addressed

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Oyo State wing, has assured that inadequate teachers in public primary schools in the state will be addressed by the government in the first quarter of next year.

The Chairman of NUT in the state, Alhaji Oladimeji Raji, made this known in an interview with Pensioners FM Correspondent, shortly after featuring on the station’s weekly Political Programme “The Searchlight”.

Alhaji Raji stressed that Governor Seyi Makinde –led administration has concluded plans to recruit teachers into public primary schools in the next quarter.

On the issue of six secondary school teachers demoted last year over examination malpractices during the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination, Alhaji Raji said necessary machineries have been put in place to avert reoccurrence.

Alhaji Raji, appreciated Governor Makinde for pardoning the affected teachers and his efforts at prioritising welfare of teachers.
