An educationist and retired Principal of CAC Grammar School, Orita-Aperin, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Rev. Apostle Segun Malomo, has stressed the importance for parents to be committed to the free education policy.
Rev. Apostle Malomo, made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Programme, “Grey Hair,” which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Rev. Apostle Malomo, some parents are yet to understand the value of education nor the roles they must play in the lives of their children.
He said parents should complement government’s free education policy by ensuring that their children are dedicated to their studies, while those who performed below expectation academically should no longer benefit from free education.
Rev. Apostle Malomo also called for a review of the country’s education curriculum, as some subjects do not meet up with modern standards.
