Pensioners’ 106.7 FM Renames Boardroom after Afolake Odeyemi

Pensioners’ 106.7 FM Boardroom has been named after the late Head of Marketing Department, Mrs Afolake Bilikis Odeyemi, popularly known as Iyalaje.

Speaking at the unveiling of the naming, the Board Chairman, Pensioners’ FM, Chief Adebisi Adesola, said the gesture became necessary due to the impact made by the late Mrs Afolake Bilikis Odeyemi on the growth of the station.

Chief Adesola, who described Mrs Afolake Bilikis Odeyemi as an embodiment of handwork, said her dedication and commitment to the progress of the radio station would be missed.

According to him, the boardroom will now be called Afolake Odeyemi Boardroom.

Also speaking, Assistant Secretary of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council, Comrade Banji Koleoso, said Mrs Afolake Bilikis Odeyemi was diligent, hardworking and was loved by all.

On their parts, a neighbour, Mr Abiodun Ogunshola and two friends of the deceased lauded the station for the immortalisation act.

Present at the unveiling were MD/CEO Pensioners’ 106.7 FM, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, Station’s General Manager, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, members and staff of Oyo NUP, colleagues, family, friends, neighbours and acquaintances of the deceased.

Mrs Afolake Bilikis Odeyemi died on Friday, 11th of July and was buried on Saturday, 9th of August, at Rest Park Cemetery, Ibadan, Ido, Oyo State.

She was survived by her aged father, husband, son and siblings.
