The Police Officers Wives Association, POWA, Daycare and Nursery School, Eleyele, Ibadan, has held its 2024/2025 end-of-the-year party and prize-giving day, to mark the successful conclusion of the academic session.
The event, held at the school premises within the Oyo State Police Command, brought together pupils, parents, teachers, and guests in celebration of academic achievements.
Speaking on the ceremony, the Chairman on the occasion, Alhaji Abdullahi Idrisu, emphasised the crucial role of teachers in national development and called on governments at all levels to continue investing in the teaching profession.
Alhaji Idrisu, who is also the Mogaji Agba of Oke-Seni Ile, Ibadan, described teachers as pivotal figures in shaping the character and intellect of young Nigerians.
In her address, the School Coordinator, Mrs. Funmilayo Yakubu, expressed appreciation to the Chairperson of POWA, Oyo State Chapter, Mrs. Aderemi Adenola, for her unwavering support towards the development of the school.
Mrs. Yakubu also appealed to parents within the Eleyele community to enroll their children in the school, to benefit from the expertise and care provided by the trained instructors and caregivers.
