A human rights activist, Mrs Airat Ogungbenro says governments should provide more bursaries and not loan schemes for students.
Mrs Ogungbenro made this know while featuring on Pensioners’ FM programme ‘The Grey Hair’, which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Mrs Ogungbenro, the inflexibility of student loans can deter quality education for national development.
Speaking further, the former non-teaching staff of Ikolaba High School, Ibadan, urged retirees to prepare ahead of retirement.
She also advised the elderly to socialize more and eat balanced diet for a healthy living.
