The Osun State Bureau for People with Disabilities has urged the federal government to release the withheld local government fund in the state for implementation of projects related to people with disabilities.
Executive Secretary, Osun State Bureau for People with Disabilities, Rotaract Ayobami Oyetunde made the plea while featuring on Pensioners FM current affairs programme, Voice of Liberation.
According to Rotaract Oyetunde, the fund if released would help the state come up necessary policies and projects to fight discrimination against PWDs
Rotaract Oyetunde appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke’s role in fast tracking the bill that established the bureau on the protection of the right of the PWDs.
Osun State Bureau for People with Disabilities was formed on the 2nd of January, this year by Osun State government.
