The Chief Executive Officer, Royal Entertainment Cruise, Eleyele, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Dr. Sanmi Bamidele has called on the government to create an enabling environment for tourism to thrive in the country.
Dr. Bamidele, made the call while featuring on Pensioners programme, “Mid-Morning Extra.”
According to Dr. Bamidele, an environment devoid of security and economic challenges would attract tourists and tourism investors, which will in turn boost the country’s economy.
Dr. Bamidele added that the bulk of the country’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, could also come from tourism, citing countries like Maldives, Seychelles, Greece and Croatia which depend mostly on tourism.
