Wesley College Sets to Mark 120th Anniversary with Weeklong Activities

All is set for the 120th anniversary of Wesley College, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The weeklong event which kicks off on Monday, 3rd of November, will commence with a Novelty March between various categories of old students of the college at the school’s football pitch, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

A career talk is slated for Tuesday, 4th of November, at 10 o’clock in the morning at the college’s Jubilee Hall.

This was made known in a statement by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Prof. Folusho Agunbiade, who urged old and new students to attend the Traditional Roll Call on Founder’s Day on Wednesday, 5th of November, at the school’s assembly ground, after a security lecture slated for 10 o’clock in the morning.

Other events lined up for the anniversary include a community service involving a medical outreach on Thursday, 6th of November, 10’ clock in the morning and Jumat prayer on Friday, 7th of November.

The statement noted that, the annual general meeting of the old students is fixed for 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, 8th of November, where new executives would be elected, new projects inaugurated, while a dinner party and awards presentation is slated for 4 o’ clock in the afternoon.

The historic event will round off with thanksgiving service on Sunday, 9th November, at the college’s Chapel, at 10 o’clock in the morning.
