Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem has penned a note to his wife, Yetunde Sekinat on their 19th wedding anniversary today, December 11th, 2023.
Taking to his Instagram page, he praised his wife for giving his life a new purpose even when he was trying to let go of everything.
He stated that from the day she laid her eyes on him, he knew they were meant to be together in times of trouble or happiness. He noted how his wife is always by his side.
“You have given my life a new purpose, even when I was trying to let go of everything. From the day I laid my eyes on you, I knew we were meant to be together in times of trouble or happiness. You are always with me and always by my side. God bless you, my Angel. Happy 19th Anniversary”
Last year for their 18th anniversary, Eedris expressed gratitude to his wife for saving his life. He appreciated her for the chance she had given to him to continue living a normal, productive life.
Recounting the couple’s past 18 years of marriage, he noted how they have been through it all together.
Eedris didn’t fail to appreciate his creator, who has given them the grace to overcome all challenges.
In June 2022, Eedris was diagnosed with kidney failure.
His friend and colleague Myke Pam, had made this known in a statement released on behalf of this behalf, revealing that the ‘Nigeria Jaga Jaga’ singer was undergoing dialysis at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos. He added that a kidney transplant was scheduled to be done.
In a later update, singer, MI Abaga revealed that the singer’s wife had volunteered to donate one of her kidneys to him.
Eedris Abdulkareem had opened up on the kind of relationship he shared with his wife, stating that even before his wife, donated a kidney for him, he had always known that she could do anything for him.
To show how much he appreciated her, he dedicated a song to her and penned an appreciation note to her
