As the country marks the 25th anniversary of an uninterrupted democratic government reign, Osun state First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke has urged Nigerians to be more determined and resolute against all odds to ensure that the democracy fought for by heros works for the greater benefits of all.
Mrs Adeleke said despite various challenges and obstacles confronting the country in the quest for nation building, democracy remains the best option for us.
This was contained in her goodwill message commemorating the nations democracy day celebration, urging Nigerians to take various challenges of the present as necessary sacrifices toward achieving a greater and better Nigeria we can all be proud of as our own.
“Today brings another good opportunity to pay tribute to our heros and heroines (dead or alive) who paid the supreme prizes to bring back democracy to Nigeria.”
“Only a prosperous Nigeria can be of great compensation to their good heart, their labour and sacrifices shall not be allowed to go in vain.”
Mrs Adeleke gave the assurance that government at all levels are working assiduously to change the fortune of the country positively. She therefore call on all indigene and residents of Osun State and Nigeria by extension to support government as critical stakeholders by playing their roles and discharging their civil responsibilities more than expected to reposition our dear country.
