Use Foreign Loans for Economic Development, Analysts Urge FG

By Adebayo Yusuf

Two Public Affairs Analysts, Honourable Kunle Olatunji and Mr Kayode Adejumo-Bello have urged the federal government to use the country’s foreign loans for socio-economic development.

Honourable Olatunji and Mr Adejumo-Bello made this known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs programme, Voice of Liberation.

According to the analysts, many African leaders connive with foreign countries to exploit the black continent with unnecessary borrowing, saying this behavioral pattern has set African countries backward.

Speaking further, Honourable Olatunji and Mr Adejumo-Bello advised the ministers under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, to liaise with technocrats in the ministry before executing any project.

Honourable Olatunji and Mr Adejumo-Bello equally said the monetary budget and the grains set aside by the federal government as palliatives for subsidy removal would not be sufficient, rather the government should fix the country’s refineries, provide good roads and power to cushion the level of effects being faced by Nigerians.
