A Public Affairs Analyst, Engineer Micheal Gbeminiyi has urged the Oyo State government to intensify the enforcement of the 2016 Real Properties Protection Law.
Engineer Gbeminiyi made this known shortly after featuring on Pensioners FM political programme, The Searchlight.
According to him, despite the Real Properties Protection Law, land grabbing is still prevailing in the state.
Engineer Gbeminiyi, said the law prohibits land grabbing and protects the rights of property owners, which was enacted in response to rise in land grabbing incidents in the state.
Engineer Gbeminiyi also urged the government to sensitise land owners on the importance of land ownership documentation at town planning offices at various local government areas in the state.
