Pray for Peace, Progress, First Lady Urges in Eid-el-Kabir Message

As Muslims across Nigeria mark Eid-el-Kabir, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged citizens to offer prayers for the nation’s peace, stability, and continued progress.

In a message to commemorate the annual festival, the First Lady emphasised the spiritual significance of the Eid celebration, calling on citizens to embody the values of the season.

This is a time of deep reflection on the values of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and faith. It is also a time to show kindness and generosity, Senator Tinubu said.

She urged Muslims to go beyond ceremonial celebrations and embrace the core teachings of Eid by reaching out to those in need. 

The First Lady described the occasion as one that offers a powerful reminder of the strength of faith and the importance of unity, especially in challenging times.

Concluding her message, she encouraged Nigerians of all faiths to join in prayer for the nation. 

As we celebrate, also pray for our dear country, for continued peace, stability, and progress, she said.

Tinubu also conveyed warm wishes to Muslim families nationwide, saying, On this joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all our Muslim faithful across the nation. Eid Mubarak!
