The Chief Imam of Awotan land in Ido local Government Area of Oyo state, Sheikh Abdullahi Adesina has urged Muslim faithful to abide with the tenets and teachings of Islam as it is the only way to avert social vices.
Sheikh Adesina who gave the charge at this year’s Eid-el-Kabir prayer at Awotan Central Mosque, also urged public and political office holders to fear Allah in the running of their affairs.
Sheikh Adesina added that with collective responsibilities of the populace, the present socio-economic challenges facing the nation would be tackled.
Pensioners FM Correspondent reports that security personnel which included Amotekun, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC and the Nigeria Police were on ground to maintain peace and order.
