Hon. Taofeek Olayiwola-Nagode, member representing Ede South State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, has strongly refuted recent allegations made by Hon. Oluwole Oke, dismissing claims of a planned defection involving 15 lawmakers and a supposed training trip to the United States as “baseless and deliberately misleading.”
In a statement issued on Sunday, Olayiwola-Nagode challenged Hon. Oke to substantiate his claims with evidence, calling on him to publicly disclose the names of the lawmakers allegedly involved.
Key Points from Hon. Olayiwola’s Statement:
– No Training, No Defection: He categorically denied the existence of any U.S. training or coordinated party switch, calling the allegations reckless and misleading.
– Unwavering Loyalty to PDP: Olayiwola reaffirmed his commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), expressing continued support for Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s leadership and vision.
– Demand for Accountability: He urged Hon. Oke to make his claims transparent by identifying those allegedly involved.
– Focus on Progress: Rather than succumbing to distractions, he called for unity in continuing the delivery of meaningful development across Osun State.
“I remain true to my oath and the aspirations of my constituents. We are building something special in Osun, and no amount of political noise will derail our momentum.”
A Message to Constituents
Hon. Olayiwola assured the people of Ede South that his priorities remain steadfast: transparency, good governance, and equitable progress. He urged PDP supporters and the general public to stand firm, ignore baseless propaganda, and keep their eyes on the transformative initiatives already in motion.
