The league of Imams and Alfas, Ibadan North West Local Government, has conferred the title of Aare Musulumi of Ibadan North West on lawmaker representing the constituency, Honourable Dawood Olalere, popularly known as D-AI-Ameen.
The installation, which took place in Ibadan, was conducted by the Chairman of the League of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Abdullahi Azeez.
Speaking after the ceremony, Alhaji Azeez explained that the honour was bestowed on Hon. Olalere in recognition of his contributions to the growth of Islam and his commitment to the development of his constituency.
Alhaji Azeez urged the new Aare Musulumi to sustain his good works and continue to promote Islamic values among the people.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Alhaji Abdulrahman Adepoju, and congratulated Hon. Olalere charged him to redouble his efforts in service to the people.
In his remarks, Hon. Olalere expressed gratitude to Alhaji Adepoju and League of Imams and Alfas for the recognition.
Hon. Olalere pledged to remain steadfast in promoting Islamic values, while working with religious leaders and community members to foster peace and unity across the local government.
The event was attended by prominent personalities, to include renowned Ibadan-based legal icon and All Progressives Congress, APC, stalwart in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, religious leaders, political associates, and community members.
