The All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyo State has held a Leadership Summit in Ibadan with a view to repositioning and rebuilding the party ahead of the next elections.
The summit which has in attendance Leaders and some prominent members of APC across Oyo State took place in Samonda, Ibadan, the state capital.
In a Communiqué issued at the end of the Summit, the Party resolved to unite ahead of the 2027 general election by putting necessary measures in place to win all elections ranging from Presidential, Governorship and Federal and State Legislative positions.

The Communiqué states that, the Party would no longer tolerate indiscipline, internal sabotage, or imposition of candidates, which, according to the party, led to its defeat in the last elections in the State.
It adds that, the processes of electing party candidates and officers must be credible, transparent, free and fair, frowning at some activities of some aspirants seeking elective positions by floating and nurturing groups, which is causing divisions within the party.
The Party, therefore, resolved that its interests must take precedence over and above personal interests.
Some of the Leaders and Elders present at the Summit included Former Deputy Governor in Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abas, Former State Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, Senator Ayoade Adeseun, Senator Brimoh Yusuf, Prince Niran Adeyoju, among others.
