The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has disbursed 100 million naira to 990 beneficiaries across Oyo State as part of his “2025 Mega Empowerment and Economic Relief Programme Series”
The initiative, which according to him is aimed at cushioning the effects of inflation and alleviating economic hardship, saw selected traders, artisans, and farmers from across the 33 local government areas of the state benefit.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Chief Adelabu explained that the gesture was an act of gratitude to God and community support, rather than a political move.
The 2027 Oyo State APC Governorship Aspirant emphasized that the programme would be implemented in seven stages, with subsequent disbursements targeting youth, women, students, widows, people living with disabilities, and non-indigenes in the state.
Earlier In a keynote lecture, a financial expert, Hon. Olutayo Akinleye, advised the beneficiaries to invest the funds wisely to yield profits.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Oyo State, Engineer Olumide Ayinla, expressed gratitude to Chief Adelabu, noting that the financial support would boost members businesses and improve their livelihoods

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo, the Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaji Yekini Abass and APC stalwarts in Oyo State.
