In a renewed resolve to reinvent its administrative system, the League Of Veteran Journalists ( LVJ ) , Oyo State Council, will on Thursday, 28th of May , 2026 , elect it’s new executives .
This was contained in a press signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, by the Chairman of the LVJ Electoral Committee, Veteran Shola Akinuli and the Secretary, Veteran Omodele Idris.
According to the statement, the election will hold at the LVJ House, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan , at 2 p. m, while the new executives would be sworn – in immediately after the election.
According to the release members interested can vie for the following positions : Chairman , Vice – Chairman , Secretary and Assistant Secretary. Other available positions Treasurer, Publicity Secretary, Social Secretary, Internal Auditor and Welfare Officer.
It also stated that interested members are to collect nomination forms already available at the state LVJ House , NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The submission of completed nomination forms will close on 30th April, 2026,according the electoral timetable, while Campaigns will start on 1st May , 2026 and end on 21st May , 2026 ” , it added.
