By Yetunde Oke

Two Public Affairs Analysts say education should be almost free for the development of a country.

The analysts, Comrade Wole Abisoye and Comrade Olu Omotosho said this while reacting to the postponement of students loan scheme by Federal government on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs programme, “The Searchlight.”

According to Comrade Abisoye and Comrade Omotosho, the loan initiative was laudable, but the government is not honest and prepared about the process.

They noted that if the government could achieve this, it would ease the burden of school fees and other academic expenses on parents.

On how visible the loans are payable by students after graduation, the analysts said it may be difficult considering the level of unemployment in the country.

Comrade Abisoye and Comrade Omotosho, therefore, advised government to establish vocational centres where students and graduates can acquire skills for sustainability.
