Steadfastness in commitment to transparency, accountability and integrity has been described as the bedrock of a successful cooperative society and human endeavours.
Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, said this when launching Oyo State “Eja wa” multipurpose cooperative society, in Ibadan, an initiative of Lukom
Integrated Service Limited, in partnership with Oyo state government.
Barrister Olaleye, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Abosede Abioye, said timely emergence of the cooperative society will complement the government’s efforts in ensuring food security in the state.
Commending the management of Lukom Integrated Service Limited, the commissioner said the zeal demonstrated, will go a long way at making finance available at affordable interest rate to fish farmers, in ameliorating challenges of low production and poor pricing.
In his welcome address, Chairman, Lukom Integrated Service Limited, Mr. Lukman Komolafe, said the cooperative will not only lay foundation for brighter future, but would also aid economic growth, social development and sustainable progress.
