Adegun Family Calls on Gov. Makinde’s Intervention on Onikoyi Stool

Adegun Royal family in lkoyi-Ile, Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to consider the decisions of the town’s kingmakers in the selection of a new Onikoyi.

According to Adegun Royal family in lkoyi-Ile, indigenes of the community, at home and in diaspora, have unanimously supported the selection of a candidate for the stool.

This was contained in a statement by the Esho 1 of Ikoyi, Prince Shehu Hannafi, on the sidelines on the need to alert of the state governor on the activities of alleged fifth columnist in the selection of a new Onikoyi

Prince Hannafi explained that over 90 percent of kingmakers of the community had unanimously supported the selection of Prince Oladunni Saka as the next Onikoyi of Ikoyiland..

He said this became imperative to inform the governor that the town is noted for peaceful coexistence and will not allow some individuals to take the advantage of the delay in the selection of a new monarch to cause mischief and mayhem in the town.
